Guiding the way - your professional advice service

In Detail FL Jan 25 Rooted in practice

If you have a question and have checked our website, read our professional guidance, asked your peers and yet are still stumped.... the professional advice service is here to help.

1. Professional guidance

All of our professional advisers are chartered physiotherapists with a wealth of knowledge and experience, enabling them to offer valuable professional guidance. Contact us: Tel: 0207 3066666 Email: enquiries@csp.org.uk

2. Support

Professional advisers understand the pressures of physiotherapy practice and managing services. They are in a unique place to support members enquiring about professional matters.

3. Resources/knowledge

The team provides links to resources and professional guidance, on the CSP website or within other publications, to enable members to critically evaluate and problem-solve. The advisers also direct members to library services and use knowledge of other organisations and regulatory bodies to signpost to members and help them resolve their enquiry.

4. Critical thinking approach

The professional advice team provides members with resources, guidance and knowledge to enable them to critically evaluate the information and make informed decisions about their enquiry. In this way it equips members to develop an analytical problem-solving approach.  There is not always a single answer as this is dependent on the circumstances of the enquirer and their specific query.

5. Signposting

Members are signposted to the most appropriate information or service to answer their enquiry. This might be to our union service colleagues, insurers, networks or other regulatory bodies.

6. Networks

The professional advisers direct members to other networks with knowledge and experience required by their enquiry. This may be due to the enquiry being clinical, regional or requiring some expertise from a network.
