Collecting data about member’s gender, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, disability or long-term health condition, and religion or belief helps to shape the support that we can offer to you.

The data and insight you provide is used to identify where inequalities exist and allows us to ensure that we’re adapting the support available, so it remains relevant to who you are.

When we understand the profiles of those attending CSP conferences or events we can create inclusive spaces by addressing accessibility and the diverse needs of attendees, such as providing captions, offering quiet spaces, ensuring gender-neutral restrooms, considering prayer or meditation areas, and fostering cultural sensitivity in programming and materials.

Where we can identify there is lack of diversity in our active volunteer roles such as council and committees, we want to continue to strive for diversity of thought and experience in those spaces and adjust how and where we promote those roles.

This is to ensure we have varied ways of thinking and problem solving as well as a range of backgrounds and life experiences represented in CSP leadership roles. By showcasing members from all backgrounds in the imagery we use we can celebrate the diversity that exists within the profession and using your data can help us identify those gaps.

Your data also helps us tailor what we’re delivering to you as members in a number of ways and helps support the work you do in achieving greater equity for colleagues and patients.

The data and insight you provide is used to identify where inequalities exist and allows us to ensure that we’re adapting the support available so it remains relevant to who you are.

So please make sure to update the information you provide to us by logging on to your account on the CSP website and opting to update your membership details. Choose ‘personal’ so we can start to learn more about you.

Your information is used for equality and diversity monitoring purposes only and will not be shared. You can update your information any time and contact enquiries@csp.org.uk should you need help in doing so.
